Its overpriced at $40k, even after they bribed congress to pay a $7500 rebate for anyone buying an electric car that just coincidentally happens to have the size battery this one has. Its also way overweight which will make it sluggish and inhibit mileage. the onboard generator/engine is way bigger than it needs to be, adding to the weight. the big problem will be the batteries that wont last more than about 3 years ( technology issue, Toyota batteries are good for 15 years, GM went with new technology that hasnt shown the capability yet). and their electronics suck, they detuned the motor controller to take out the performance so they could make the mileage. Even if you do get the $7500 rebate from the feds, Gm dealers will charge $5-10k above invoice because they can. ... MORE >

Here's an idea, let them fail and give the $25 billion to a US automaker that is serious like Telsa, or heavy trucks CWI and Sterling. But with our so-called political leaders in CA wanting to raise the car tax I just might have to wait until sanity returns to CA.
