Is your dog lonely? Does it long for a four-legged life partner? Well we've got the event for you.

Fido’s Festival USA is attempting to break a Guinness World Record by throwing the largest dog wedding ever at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Salem County Fairgrounds in Woodstown, N.J. The ceremony will be performed by a Justice of the Pooch.

If no suitable spouse comes to mind, just go to Pooch Partners on the Fido’s Festival USA Web site, upload a photo, browse the singles scene and propose to a compatible pup. Or just show up on Aug. 29 and let your dog shop for the perfect partner in the scratch-and-sniff matchmaking area.

Some famous furballs will tie the knot as well, including Elwood -- “America’s Ugliest Dog.” We’d sure love to see his bride-to-be.

Each participating pooch will receive a wedding treat and a certificate of marriage. More than 178 canine couples are needed to break the record, so register now.

And who knows, if the marriages don’t work out, maybe next year they can throw the largest doggie divorce hearing.
