It's an art store that offers gift cards, bulk discounts, and can even special order hard to find supplies. But the LA County Sheriff is not a fan of some patrons.
Reputed tagger Jason Williams, who goes by the name REVOK, was arrested after appearing as a guest artist at 33third, a music and graffiti 'art store' that claims to have "graffiti supplies galore!"
Williams was paid $1,000 to be featured as a "guest of honor" at the mid-city store. According to its polished website, 33third claims to be the "largest graffiti supply store in the universe" with over 4000 spray cans in stock. And for the hard-to-buy-for tagger in your life, they offer gift cards.
Working on a bigger Graffiti project? 33third says to "ask an associate about our case discounts." For those hard to find graffiti supplies, they can do special orders, the website says.
Williams, who was on probation, was arrested at the store after Los Angeles County Sheriffs found him carrying spray tips used in tagging, according to the LA Times.
Deputies later searched Williams home and found hundreds of paint cans, a police badge, stolen detour sign, and digital photos of his "works," the Times said.
Williams told sheriff's officials he makes a living selling T-shirts and prints. He is being held on $20,000 bail.
