She was also a reporter with the San Fernando Valley Business Journal, covering commercial real estate and the biotech industry. She attended San Francisco State University, where she was editor-in-chief of the award-winning Golden Gate Xpress.

Irene Moore is a Digital Desk Producer for NBC4 Southern California. She's part of an Emmy winning team at KNBC for live coverage of an unscheduled news event on the San Bernardino terrorist attack. She's worn many hats while at the station and currently is the lead editor for user generated content working with both digital and broadcast teams. Prior to working in breaking news she worked as a travel writer, produced "The Morning Review with Roy Ulrich" on KPFK for two years and freelanced for a Japanese publication. She also co-wrote and co-hosted a segment on KPFK covering Muslims in American media. She currently serves as a board of director with the Society of Professional Journalists, Los Angeles chapter. When she's not in the newsroom you can catch her climbing rocks or spending time in the outdoors.

She started at NBC4 as an intern for the digital team in 2013 before going on to intern with NBC Nightly News. She worked for NBC4’s Promotions department in a role she built from the ground up as a social media producer, growing NBCLA’s Vine presence from 3,000 to more than 30,000 followers, setting NBC4 as a leader in the market.
