For me, being an intern for NBCLosAngeles.com was more than just paying my dues and shadowing professionals. Every day I worked, I was given the opportunity to have my writing published with your byline on NBCLA.com, tackling stories ranging anywhere from sports and features to politics and breaking news. Some of my stories were even published nationally on NBCNews.com. It never gets old seeing your name on professional news websites.

But what I may have benefitted the most from, was working alongside award-winning reporters and writers, who were always willing to answer my questions, and occasionally, asked me to write web stories to accompany their on-air pieces. At NBCLA.com, you'll even have the chance to edit videos, get up to speed on good social media practices, and have the chance to intern in different departments around the station.

At NBC Los Angeles, interns are equals and are treated as such. You have the chance to become a real member of the NBC family, something that will benefit your journalism career going forward. This position is designed for those who can work in a high-pressure, around-the-clock news environment, all while having a smile on your face when you come into work every morning.
