A drunken driving suspect was arrested and two other men were hospitalized Tuesday night, following a pursuit along the 60 Freeway.
When it was over, the suspect car was riddled with bullets. The California Highway Patrol would only say that the chase did, indeed, end with gunfire.
The pursuit ended in the City of Industry, near Crossroads Parkway and Workman Mill Road. That's where the shots were fired.
The CHP says the pursuit had begun in Banning, and speeds reached 100 miles per hour on the 60.
There were apparently three people in the car. Two of them were taken to the hospital on stretchers. The third was able to walk away, into police custody.
The enire incident remained under investigation Tuesday night.
