“Air Napping” Class a Hit with Gym Members

Ever need a nap after a long workout at the gym?  People in Charlotte, North Carolina now have the option of napping during their workout and actually getting away with it.

The Flex-and-Fit health club is offering what it calls an "air napping" class.  People climb into cocoons suspended from the ceiling, then they nap for 25 minutes.

What they do after their nap is completely up to them.  Some hit the exercise equipment, while others simply go about their daily lives.

Shama Patel, the club's owner, got the idea during her previous job as an attorney.

"When I first entered corporate America, they did have a nap room and they encouraged people to go in to take that 20 to 30 minute nap so they could recharge and get back to work," Patel said.

Apparently, it's a big hit.  Some gym members say they loved it so much, they may even look into setting up a similar cocoon at home.
