Best Friends Animal Society® Los Angeles

Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles is working collaboratively with animal rescue groups, city shelters and passionate individuals who are all dedicated to the mission of making Los Angeles a no-kill city. As part of this mission, Best Friends hosts adoption and fundraising events, runs the Best Friends Pet Adoption & Spay Neuter Center in Mission Hills, and leads the NKLA initiative.

Neonatal kittens are the most vulnerable of homeless pets and the most often killed at city shelters. Best Friends' Kitten Nursery is a 24/7 operation dedicated to saving this fragile lives. Volunteers bottle feed, weigh, and help socialize kittens, and are crucial to the nursery's success. This is a fantastic way for animal lovers to make a huge impact in their community.
