Breathe California of Los Angeles County

BREATHE California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) was first formed in 1903 as an independent lung health organization called the Los Angeles Society for the Study and Prevention of Tuberculosis.  The organization served the city’s growing population of more than 300,000.

The mission of BREATHE LA is to promote clean air and healthy lungs through research, education, advocacy and technology. The vision is to protect the breath of life by eliminating the causes of lung disease and reducing the su¬ffering of those a¬fflicted by lung disease. To volunteer, click here.
