A 50-year-old Studio City woman is suing the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after she went into cardiac arrest when officers used a taser on her. The June 4 incident was captured in a 40-minute video recorded by the patrol car’s dashboard camera. At first, the woman appears to cooperate with the officers but when they ask to look through her purse, she runs back into her car. Use of force expert says that ignites "questions about her behavior." In a statement, CHP says the use of the taser "appears to be within CHP policy."
