Fast Food Deals Combat Winter Sales Slump

Famous chains are rolling out cheap eats

To combat the usual slump in winter sales, fast food chains are serving up cheap eats to kick off the new year.

Low prices and bundled meal deals are likely an effort to lure in families who cannot afford to visit a casual dining restaurant.

"When you have a family it adds up," one customer said.

From 99 cent burritos to $10 pizzas, famous chains are offering options to please a palette and a pocket book. But while the deals may benefit the bottom line, they won’t be so friendly to the waistline.

Still, customers are seeking refuge from continuously rising food prices.

"It’s good, especially for these economic times, it’s good to get some deals," another customer said.

Analysts said that while these deals emerge every January, this year’s saving may be a little less significant thanks to higher commodity prices.
