Los Angeles Waterkeeper

Founded in 1993, Los Angeles Waterkeeper works to protect, restore and conserve LA County rivers, beaches and adjacent waterways through enforcement, fieldwork and community action.

Storm Water Assessment Team (SWAT) volunteers are trained to collect water samples from industrial facilities that are polluting LA rivers and beaches. Samples taken are then used as important evidence by Los Angeles Waterkeeper to enforce water protection laws.  To volunteer, clik here.
