New Father, Killed in Afghanistan, Hailed a Hero

    Sgt. 1st class Jeffrey Baker died on May 14 trying to members of his unit after a bomb exploded. On his second deployment to Afghanistan, the 29-year-old husband and father of an infant daughter was charged with deactivating bombs. He took another soldier’s place on the deployment that ultimately ended his life. Jacob Rascon reports for the NBC4 News at 6 p.m. on May 24, 2013.
