NBC4 LA took home two Los Angeles Press Club Awards for “TV Journalist of the Year” and “Best Feature.”

For a third consecutive year, Ana Garcia and Fred Mamoun received the top honor for “TV Journalist of the Year.” This makes a total of four times that the reporter/producer duo has won the distinctive honor from the Los Angeles Press Club. Garcia and Mamoun also hold the 2010 Los Angeles Area Emmy for Outstanding Hard News Reporting.

In the category of “Best Feature,” NBC4 LA took home the trophy for the news series “Rock 'N Roll Treasure.” The news series uncovered one of the most extensive and culturally significant private Rock 'N' Roll memorabilia collections in decades.

Chuck Henry was the reporter on the series, while Tara Wallis-Finestone was the writer and producer. Jose Hernandez served as the photographer and Fernando Torres was the editor on the series.

“Rock and Roll Treasure” also holds the 2011 Golden Mike for “Best Light News Series Reporting.”
