Robert Kovacik emceed The Heroes of Hollywood Luncheon at the Taglyan Cultural Complex on Thursday, June 7. The event raises funds for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Community Foundation and honors those making a difference in the Hollywood Community. The organization advances the educational, cultural and economic interests of the City and supports local non-profits organizations. The luncheon honorees were: • Dr. Kwang Yul Cha --Founder and Chancellor of Cha Health Systems • Laurie Goldman -- Community advocate working to build Hollywood Center Park. • The Sundher Family – Community supporter and founders of the Hollywood Wax Museum • Mr. Albert Sweet -- Entrepreneur and commercial real estate developer The Hero Award was presented to 8 law enforcement and security officers for their bravery during the December 9, 2011 incident on Sunset and Vine where a lone gunman opened fire.
