Chuck Henry is the co-anchor of the award-winning weekday editions of the "Channel 4 News" at 6 p.m.
Henry, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, joined NBC4 Los Angeles in January 1994. The veteran news anchor is also known for his nightly live reports on the "Channel 4 News" at 11 p.m.
In addition to the news, he is the Executive Producer and host of the Emmy award winning "Travel Café," a travel and variety progam..
Prior to joining NBC4, Henry was a news anchor/reporter for KABC-TV in Los Angeles from 1982 to 1993. While at KABC, he served in a number of other capacities including anchor, producer and director of specials. He was also a news anchor/reporter with KABC-TV from 1971 to 1979.
Henry visited virtually every continent in the world as host and producer of the popular travel magazine program, "Eye on L.A.," which aired from 1984 to 1991.
Henry was previously a news anchor/reporter at WMAQ-TV, the NBC-owned television station in Chicago, from 1978 to 1982. He began his career in broadcasting at KHVH-TV in Honolulu as news anchor/reporter from 1966 to 1971, with a short interval in Anchorage, Alaska, as a news anchor/reporter for KENI-TV from 1967 to 1968.
Henry has won 12 Los Angeles area Emmy Awards for his work in front of the camera as anchor, reporter and host, and behind the camera as director and producer. In 1995, he was feted with a national Cable Ace Award for best host of a series.
Henry has been married for more than 30 years and has four children.
