U2 will bring its "360 Tour" to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Oct. 25.
The North American leg of the band's tour will open in Chicago on Sept. 12-13 at Soldier Field. About 65,000 tickets for those shows were purchased Monday morning.
More than 82,000 tickets for New York dates and 72,000 for Boston concerts were purchased, according to a spokesman for concert promoter Live Nation. The band also sold out two September dates in Toronto Monday morning, he said.
U2 will make additional stops in Washington, Charlottesville, Atlanta and Tampa before arriving in Los Angeles, and will play Vancouver three days after the Pasadena show.
The band will tour in Europe during summer.
Tickets for the Rose Bowl date will go on sale next Monday at 10 a.m.
Subscribers to U2's official website have an opportunity to purchase tickets in advance of the public on-sale date.
