Got to have a terrific conversation piece if you're strutting the red carpet at the Golden Globes...

More funky, sparkly clutches. It gives the entertainment reporters something to talk about when they can't summon the words and/or enthusiasm to talk cinched waists or upswept 'dos any longer.

More Bai Ling. We, along with the Fug Ladies, are endlessly fascinated with her fashion choices. Bai, you're fabulous. Don't go changing.

Speaking of the Fug Ladies, more Fug Ladies. They live-blogged for The Cut, a challenging, on-your-toes-and-on-your-wit task.

More shout-outs to household pets. Mickey Rourke's mention of his dogs -- and how sometimes (and we're paraphrasing) when a man is down a dog is his one friend -- was the well-up moment of the night for us. Not all of us watching from home have loved an accountant or agent in our life, but we've all depended upon a pet. Audience connection.

More Will Arnett. At everything that's broadcast or has a chance of being broadcast.

Perhaps some carnival-type food stands should line the red carpet. A barbecue hut. Loaded-up baked potatoes. Kettle corn? Stars are forever talking how famished they are, but not everyone makes the dinner in time (plus, you're busy schmoozing by that point). Put an In-N-Out burger next to the E! area.

Could Miss/Mr. Golden Globes be a team? Guy *and* gal, or two gals, or two guys? We adore the concept, but having two people up there might provide for some banter-y, interplay-ish moments during the night. Longing looks. Shared exasperations and joys.

No complaints, and our hats of to the Hollywood Foreign Press. It's a lively night, but we do worry about those celebs and their rumbling tummies...
