In 1972 Johnny Carson moved the Tonight Show permanently to California, and in the same year The Comedy Store was born putting Los Angeles on the map as the center of comedy. Alumni include Whoopi Goldberg, David Letterman, Robin Williams, and Roseanne to name a few. Today the Comedy Store is the "three-room home away from home" for next generation of comics, and a pit stop for today's hottest comics seven nights a week.
