SHIPWRECK WREAKS HAVOC ON WEEKNIGHTS: Halloween must be mere days away, because Shipwreck is open for the only Tuesday night of its run (and will continue to be open every night through November 1st). Just about every travel show we've seen in the last week has done a spotlight on the Queen Mary's ghosty First Class pool. Is there a more famous haunted ship in the world? That one can just visit?
ARE TWO HEADS BETTER THAN ONE? New Beverly Cinema aims to solve that age-old chestnut by showing not one but two sci-fi flicks that dole out a a double dosage of double-noggin mania. "The Incredible 2-Headed Transplant" is up first at 7:30PM, followed by "The Thing with Two Heads" at 9:30. They're both from the early '70s, so you know that two heads or not, the fashions will be out of sight. And with two heads watching everything, that's saying something.
140 CHARACTERS CONFERENCE OPENS: There've been other Twitter-focused gatherings that looked at social aspects and hints and what's next. This two-day hubbub focuses on the business angle of the microblogging universe. It's at the Kodak Theatre, and thinkers galore will type type type their way through tomorrow.
