CHARLIE HADEN FAMILY & FRIENDS: Few musical dynasties continue to be as robust and storied as the singing, playing, creating Hadens. There's papa Charlie, a bluegrass legend and all those Haden triplets, Rachel, Petra, Tanya, and son Josh. Tanya's husband Jack Black will be joining, as will a bevy of bluegrassy guests. Charlie Haden will be signing "Rambling Boy" following the show. Walt Disney Concert Hall, 8PM
"SPRING AWAKENING": It garnered the love in New York (thanks in part to "Glee" girl Lea Michele) and hit Los Angeles and the Ahmanson last fall. If you missed this Duncan Sheik'd, young-passion-and-heat musical, you have another chance, Southern California. It's opening at OCPAC tonight, and running through November 29th. We get why people are seeing this one a half dozen times or more.
A FINE FRENZY: California-raised chanteuse Alison Sudol -- aka A Fine Frenzy -- had a big, big, big, kept-on-rollin' hit in "You Picked Me" a few years back. Now she's got a few Christmasy carols out, and a tour. She's at El Rey at 7PM.
