11/18: "Gross Indecency"

"Gross Indecency" from LA Theatre Works is at the Skirball November 18th-22nd.

"GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE": His bon mots and cutting witticisms are still repeated by millions. But it wasn't all elegant balls for the writer. LA Theatre Works remembers Mr. Wilde's challenges in a dramatic radio-style retelling. Peter Paige and Julian Sands are in the cast. Julian Sands! "A Room With a View." Wonderful. At the Skirball, tonight through Sunday.

RÖYKSOPP: Prepare to go on a few funky electronic soundtrips from a Norwegian duo who've supplied many a soundtrack to various commercials and films. If you're not feeling the blinking pink-and-swirly lights in your heart, listen a little longer. You can do so at Club Nokia tonight.

"FROM HERE TO ETERNITY": The beach scene, so famous, so parodied (we think "Airplane!" did it best), so iconic. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences is screening the Burt Lancaster flick -- it won a slew of Oscars, including Best Picture -- with a surprise in store: Ernest Borgnine in person. That man is everywhere this week -- he just stopped by "The Wild Bunch" night at Million Dollar Theatre. Respect, Mr. Borgnine. 7:30PM
