THE SWELL SEASON: It's getting to be all Oscars all the time now, which makes us remember one of our favorite acceptance speeches, which was delivered by Markéta Irglová (you may remember that Jon Stewart called her back on stage to talk after time ran out). Glen Hasard is the curly-haired half of the winsome singing duo, who are playing a second night at The Wiltern tonight.
BEAUJOLAIS NIGHT: C'est arrive, as all the posters always say. A lot of wine stores will be breaking out the famous, straight-from-France fall wine, but two major Nouveau-nice soirees are going down on the Miracle Mile and Hollywood Boulevard. If you do, indeed, Beaujolais, best get to the Petersen Automotive Museum or the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
TWIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL: Yep, the fans are lining up, in long, long lines, for that "New Moon" movie. But over at the Upright Citizens Brigade they have a twinkle in their golden eyes and a desire to lay down some hot parody. The question is, can you catch both this comedy show, which is at 8PM, AND make a midnight showing of the movie? Why not?
