KISS ALIVE/35: A lot of things are quieting down just ahead of Thanksgiving. Some theaters are dark, while other places have just put everything on hold through Sunday. Which is going to make the KISS appearance at STAPLES Center thunderously huge, epic in its bigness and supreme rockingness. Will they feel the power of this super group all the way to the Pacific?
THANKSGIVING FEAST SHOW: So we went mouthing off that everything's gone silent, but that of course does not include those rarely silent yuksters over at the Upright Citizens Brigade. They've put together a comical comedy presentation on the pitfalls of family togetherness around the feasting table. It's at 8PM, and tickets are $5. No advance tix available, but there will be a standby line.
STORIES CELEBRATES A YEAR: That bookish, coffee-bean-ish bastion of hanging out and passing the hours in happy ways is turning one with a pre-Thanksgiving to-do. If you're sweet on the Echo Park nook, stop by the store from 7-11PM for turkey chili and some tunes. Happy first, Stories!
