Princeton started its Monday-night residency at Spaceland on February 1st.

PRINCETON: It's free, it's a Spaceland, it's the Monday night residency. And this brotherly band's February run comes to an end tonight. We said "brotherly" but we meant "twinly" -- Jesse and Matt Kivel are identical twins, and rockers to boot. They make good-feeling music, too. LAist presents. 8:30PM

BARRY LEVINSON: This director and writer and producer can count "Rain Men" and "Diner" and "Bugsy" and several other hit films to his credit. He'll be at the Writer's Guild Theatre on Doheny at 8PM to talk specifically about writing. You're now wanting to go watch "Diner" again, and you should. We all should.

"SHAMPOO" AND "BOOGIE NIGHTS": Director Jason Reitman has chosen two oh-so-SoCal films for tonight's New Beverly screenings. Wearing something stretchy and shiny seems to be the way to go. A feathery coif seems fitting, too, and a glittery comb in your back pocket. "Shampoo" starts at 6:30PM.
