Vermont is participating in Go Eat Go Drink Go Out on Thursday, February 25th.
GO EAT GO DRINK GO OUT: Dine out today at one of several restaurants that have pledged their support to helping Aid for AIDS and the Serra Project. Places like Vermont, pictured, and Palate Food + Wine will donate part of the day's proceeds. Get info at the Go Eat Go Drink Go Out site.
MARY OLIVER: The Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, who also can count the National Book Award for Poetry among her many honors, will be at Royce Hall. Book Soup makes mention of her "rare appearances," so those in attendance tonight are lucky indeed. When did you last enjoy poetry read by the poet in a grand and historic venue?
"LIQUID SKY": If you were to take a heaping helping of pastel-hued '80s outlandishness and sprinkle it with glittery New Wave symbolism, you'd probably have yourself a big platter of this amazing movie. It's art, it's a portrait of a time, it's at Cinefamily. Director Slava Tsukerman will be in attendance.
