Beautiful Greystone Mansion at night; see it on Friday, July 31st

SUMMER SPOOKTACULAR FRIDAY NIGHTS: We can't possibly pick our favorite film that's used historic Greystone Mansion as a setting. Well, probably "Eraserhead," but there've been so many. Seeing the inside of it -- and enjoying creepy stories and spine-tingling to-dos -- is tempting. Greystone Park Rangers are giving the evening tours. 7:30-10PM (not suggested for kids 10 and under)

CONCERTS APLENTY: No Doubt's in the OC, their home sweet home; Jenni Rivera brings banda vibes to Nokia Theatre; Hippiefest mellows out at Gibson Amphitheatre; KC & The Sunshine Band and Evelyn "Champagne" King are all about the boogie at Pacific Amphitheatre; and Reel Big Fish and the English Beat are at Club Nokia (still loving "Save It For Later").

"THE OUTSIDERS": Which one were you? Which one are you still? The cast is oh so memorable: Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, C. Thomas Howell, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez, Matt Dillon, Leif Garrett, Diane Lane. And Ralph Macchio! We'd show up in worn-out dungarees and a tee with rolled up sleeves for the screening. Probably a comb in the pocket, too. The Art Theater of Long Beach, 11PM
