STEELY DAN PART TROIS: "Aja" and "Gaucho" have passed; now Fagen and Becker continue their much talked-about, four-night (with a break in the middle), album-focused run at Gibson Amphitheatre. The deal: Each night they've been playing an album in full. Tonight's record is "The Royal Scam"; tomorrow night's selection will be chosen by internet request. Dear other acts with big back catalogs: this seems like a great idea.

AN EVENING WITH SMOKEY ROBINSON: This special night, presented by American Express, features the Motown legend in conversation and song. Yep: "The Tears of a Clown" and "Cruisin'" and all the beautiful tunes. It's sold out -- no surprise -- but we make mention for three reasons. Mr. Robinson in concert is big news. The "Evenings With" at the GRAMMY Museum should keep on spotlighting top stars. And three, if you have tickets, you're excited, and we're excited for you.

"INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM": We know. You've seen "Raiders of the Lost Ark" so often you can practically "Rocky Horror"-it, complete with your own fedora and whip. But "Temple of Doom" doesn't screen quite as often, or doesn't seem to, anyway. Best see it. And best exchange (thx, IMDB). Kate Capshaw's Willie: "I always thought that archaeologists go around looking for their mommies." Indiana Jones: "Mummies." "Raiders": 7:30. "Temple": 9:45. New Beverly Cinema
