GREEN DAY: The punky trio's shhh-quiet show at Music Box @ Fonda back in early June got sold out in, like, what? Nanoseconds, if we recall correctly. Now they've returned, they're heading for a venue that's notably roomier -- The Forum -- and they've got Franz Ferdinand in tow. You saw 'em in June, you didn't get to see them in June, you're making a date with Billy Joe and the boys tonight, we hope. Because this is the band's last stop on the USA leg of the tour. 8PM
TOM JONES: We're pleased that Woodstock has been rightly getting the love this week, 40th Anniversary and all. But let us not forget a man who was not at Max Yasgur's farm that fateful weekend, but who contributed much to the sound and style of the late 1960s. Cool-cat looks, we're talking, and swinging, hunk-a-hunk-a ditties. That man is Tom Jones, he is sexy to the nth degree, and he's at The Greek at 8PM.
DAVE STEWART: Holy Eurythmics, this zaps our interest button. Dave Stewart, one half of the duo where the other half is Annie Lennox, is headed for the Conga Room for a show, along with his Rock Fabulous Orchestra. The little sunglasses. The silent intensity in the videos (adored his whole weird cameraman thing in "Here Comes the Rain Again"). Tidbit: Mr. Stewart just rocked with the First Lady of France -- Ms. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy -- which is just. Just. 8PM
