Angelica Torn and Stephen Riley Key star in "August: Osage County" at The Ahmanson.
"AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY": The Tracy Letts-penned play that details the tribulations of a large, secret-hiding family nabbed both a Pulitzer and a Tony. Did we mention it started at Steppenwolf? It did. Estelle Parsons -- an Oscar winner for the great "Bonnie & Clyde" -- is the troubled matriarch of the bumping-up-against-each-other kin. September 8th-October 18th, The Ahmanson
ROCK 'N ROLL WINE EVENING: There is indeed rock 'n roll; musician Coffey will be on the stage. There is indeed wine. Lots of it (from "around the world" says the site). The location is the Foundation Room at House of Blues Sunset Strip. Party's on from 7-11PM.
HOLLYWOOD BOWL FIREWORKS FINALE: There are still a few Bowl shows to go before the autumn chill sets in (yay, Pink Martini), but the classic fireworks show is wrapping up for the season this weekend. The show is "Blame It On Rio," the carnival rhythms get going at 8:30 tonight and tomorrow (and 7:30 on Sunday) and Bebel Gilberto sings. Samba!
