Caine's Arcade

There are two things we're fairly sure about today.

One? If you watch the video below you can be rest assured it is probably just about the best thing you'll see online this year. We realize it is only April, but we stand by this assertion.

And two? Kids love boxes, often more than the toys and items that come inside. That's the old holiday chestnut, right? Because it is true; sometimes amazingly creative ideas can spring from a six-sided container.

And sometimes a kid can act on those amazingly creative ideas. There's a boy named Caine Monroy who takes all the boxes at his father's used auto parts shop in East Los Angeles, the better to create a full-on arcade funland out of them, complete with signs and games and instructions.

A short film about the nine-year-old visionary and his cardboard wonderland is now making the rounds online. We're inside a week that's all about cars in Southern California, thanks to the Grand Prix of Long Beach, but we're betting this auto parts shop and its sweet arcade will get loads of love and attention. As it definitely should.
