Saunter by Art at Silver Lake Crawl

Again, we say it. We're not sorry to see October bid its adieu. We are so hot on all things Halloween, but the ensuing tiredness. The collapsing jack o' lanterns. The candy that. Must. Go.

Time once again for relaxing ventures to grow the mind and, possibly, the friends list.

The Silver Lake Art Crawl can certainly help with the first and very possibly the latter. Saunter through 25 galleries on Saturday, November 7th and Sunday, November 8th and soak in a bevy of works from a host of genres and mediums. Paintings are a part of the visual feast, yes, but so are toys, clothes and comics.

Participating galleries in the Art Crawl, which has been around for over a decade, include La Luz de Jesus, and several more around Silver Lake, Echo Park, Atwater Village, and Los Feliz. So there may be some driving in your crawling.

Tunes and receptions round out the eye-pleasing, brain-tickling weekend. The hours are 11AM-9PM both days but note that times may vary if galleries are a-rockin'. 

Check out the site for official map. If you don't feel like getting behind the wheel at all, there is a stretch of Sunset that is particularly lush with art-crawl-y goodness.
