    Burbank

    Veterans Honored in North Long Beach

    [LA] Veterans Honored in North Long Beach
    There was a renewed excitement in the air in North Long Beach where the annualVeterans Day Parade was a lot larger than years past... but just as patriotic!

    A Veterans Day ceremony will be held at McCambridge Park War Memorial (corner of San Fernando Road and Amherst Drive) at 11 a.m. The event will feature guest speakers and music by the Burbank Community Band. Event Link

    Cypress Park

    The Friends of Cypress Park Community Improvement Association, in cooperation with the offices of LA City Councilman Ed P. Reyes will host the 9th annual Northeast Los Angeles Veterans Day observance on Saturday, Nov. 12. Starting at 10:30 a.m., the event will feature a salute to local veterans, a POW/MIA table ceremony, flag raising, and a traditional 21-gun salute to honor those who have fallen serving our country. Local veterans are asked to wear their uniforms, as well as any earned military decorations. Event Link

    Granada Hills

    Members of VFW Post 232, family, and friends will be holding an all-night vigil in remembrance of Veteran's Day from 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 to 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. The vigil will be held at Veterans Memorial Triangle, at the southeast corner of Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue. Event Link

    Hollywood Hills

    Forest Lawn Memorial-Parks and Mortuaries will be holding its 52nd annual Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills (6300 Forest Lawn Drive). The event will feature skydivers, a military vehicle display and patriotic musical performances. Admission is free, and souvenirs will be given to all attendees. Event Link

    Huntington Beach

    Huntington Beach plans to honor its veterans with a ceremony at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza at 11 a.m. Event Link

    Irvine

    The Inaugural LA National Veterans Day Run will be held at Woodbridge Community Park (corner of Alton Parkway and Lake Road) in Irvine at 4 p.m. The event will feature an 11k race at 4:11 p.m., followed by a 5k run and a 1-mile walk at 5:11 p.m. For entry fees and race updates, visit Los Angeles National Veterans Day Run for more details.     Long Beach

    Veterans are admitted free at the Aquarium of the Pacific (100 Aquarium Way), with valid service ID from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Event Link

    Malibu

    The 12th annual Veterans Day ceremony will be held at Malibu Legacy Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to honor those who have served and are serving the country. Event Link

    Manhattan Beach

    The 14th annual Veterans Day multi-generational event will be held at the Veteran's Monument in Manhattan Beach (Veterans Parkway, between Valley Drive and 15th Street). The event will feature music by the Official Band of the City of Manhattan Beach and The Hyperion Outfall Serenaders. Event Link

    Moorpark

    A Veterans Day observance will be held at the Veterans Memorial (corner of Spring Road and Flinn Avenue) at 10 a.m. to honor men and women who have served and are serving our country. Event Link

    Palm Springs

    The 5th annual Palm Springs Veterans Day parade kicks off at 3:30 p.m. in downtown Palm Springs. The parade will start at Palm Canyon Drive at Ramon Road and head northbound to Alejo Road. A post-parade concert and fireworks celebration is to follow. Event Link

    Pasadena

    Veterans will be honored with live music, a flyover and bugle corps demonstration at Memorial Park in Old Pasadena from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Event Link

    Redondo Beach

    The 10th annual "Honor our Veterans" tribute will be held at the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial at Veterans Park from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Event Link

    San Bernardino

    The San Bernardino American Legion Post 14 will hold a Veterans Day observance at the Soldiers and Sailors memorial (corner of 6th and D Streets) at 11 a.m.

    Simi Valley

    The Reagan Presidential Library is hosting its annual Veterans Day event, beginning at 10:30 a.m. The day's events will include a flyover, live entertainment, and a program honoring all military servicemen, featuring keynote speaker Navy Seal Eric Greitens. In addition, all veterans and military members will receive free admission to the Museum & Air Force One Pavilion with valid ID. Event Link

    Sun Valley

    "Honoring Our Heroes," a free Veterans Day show will be held at Byrd Middle School, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The event will feature a dinner, a special tribute to Frank Sinatra, and a surprise guest speaker.
