The Friends of Cypress Park Community Improvement Association, in cooperation with the offices of LA City Councilman Ed P. Reyes will host the 9th annual Northeast Los Angeles Veterans Day observance on Saturday, Nov. 12. Starting at 10:30 a.m., the event will feature a salute to local veterans, a POW/MIA table ceremony, flag raising, and a traditional 21-gun salute to honor those who have fallen serving our country. Members of VFW Post 232, family, and friends will be holding an all-night vigil in remembrance of Veteran's Day from 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 to 12 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11.
