Pacific gray whales will soon begin their southbound migration, and they'll need someone to tell their story.

That's why the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is looking for volunteer narrators.

After taking a few classes, selected volunteers narrate whale watching trips that depart from SoCal landings during migration season. Volunteers must be available Dec. 26 through March.

An orientation meeting for prospective docents is Tuesday (Oct. 6). Volunteers will meet for training every week.
