From '80s pop chanteuse to grown-up dance-club star. Catch Tiffany at the Lewis Family Playhouse this Saturday.

Shall we raise a toast to Tiffany, who bounces onto the stage this Saturday at the Lewis Family Playhouse? The '80s pop starlet has weathered ups and downs, like many of her musical counterparts from that Day-Glo, meet-me-at-the-mall decade, but this is one lady who has continued to rise above. Witness the great reaction she got for that hilarious AT&T commercial with Meatloaf earlier this year (we thought "wow, is that Tiffany?" and indeed it was) and the fact that she embraces that bubblegum-flavored blast-off she shot to fame on way back when. So many celebs attempt to distance themselves from past incarnations, but we admire her for staying true and never looking down on that mall girl who had the teenyboppers screaming. Very classy indeed.

Not to say Tiffany hasn't changed and evolved, like we all must when we peel off the glittery bangles and denim jackets of youth. Now 37, the singer has a more adult, beat-driven, dance-club sound and a huge following of devoted gay fans (she is a regular at pride festivals).

And while she'll probably perform a lot of her newer work this weekend, bet on her shaking it to sing-along-able hits like "Could've Been" (we heart that heartbreaker) and "I Think We're Alone Now." Sounds like a ball, and we're not even going to peg our jeans. Okay, we can be convinced.
