When we learned that director Tim Burton would be appearing at the D23 Expo on Friday, September 11th at 11AM, we got to thinking about that "Alice in Wonderland" trailer that one or two people might have heard about, oh, a couple of months back.

And how we watched it, well, a few times. Seven? Eight? Oh boy. One time, solely to study Alice's fashion (those button-up boots, we want them). Another time, to listen to the music. Another, to get a better look at Anne Hathaway's ghosty eye make-up.

And then there's the actor playing the Mad Hatter. Johnny Depp, we think? Yep. Another viewing for Mr. Depp.

We know we're not alone in our "Alice" affections, our Burton-based biases, our ability to sing most songs on "Corpse Bride" or "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas" (though not on key). That's why we're putting the word out on his Anaheim appearance. He'll be sharing the stage with Mr. Robert Zemeckis, the director of the upcoming "A Christmas Carol" as well as "Back to the Future."

We think a lot -- more than a lot -- about this movie. But doesn't everyone?

If you didn't make Comic-Con, and you didn't get your fill of fantasy-nice pop culture, best ask the boss for Friday off, or invite the boss along, and make for Anaheim together. There's a ton of other panels/screenings going on during the weekend, too. As with Comic-Con, you now face the choosing.
