ALEX CLINE'S BAND OF THE MOMENT: Mr. Cline is at the forefront of forward-moving jazz; we can't stop marveling at the photo of the musician's impressive looking drum-percussion kit. Could that even be called a kit? More like a cymbal-lined room of sound. He'll be at the Hammer Museum tonight at 7 p.m., along with several other local jazz greats. Free

ROYAL CROWN REVUE: Dancing swing music for free, horns, lots of horns, wine for a $10 donation, wine plus snacks, and all the people-watching-busyness of Hollywood & Highland. The Wine.Jazz.Moonlight series from KJAZZ continues with the retro-cool band. 7 p.m.

LOVETT AND LAMBERT: So Lyle Lovett and Adam Lambert are not taking the stage together, although we'd like to see that show, but they are playing to Orange County on the same night. Mr. Lovett is at the Grove of Anaheim, Mr. Lambert is at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa (he's also playing there tomorrow night).
