"THE GENERAL": Yep, we called it "Buster's Best" above, and we bet there are those who will take issue and back other Buster Keaton films like "Seven Chances" or "The Navigator." We get you, we do. But this film, showing tonight, at Cinefamily, has one of cinema's sweetest screen kisses. It's right after the heroine sweeps the engine floor. Agree? 8 p.m.
"THE BIG LEBOWSKI": It's screening fairly close-ish to Venice -- well, at ArcLight Beach Cities, anyway, which is just a toot over from the Dude's hometown. And Lucky Strike Lanes'll be lending to some of the bowling-flavored bliss. Plus, you know someone is showing up in a seen-better-days robe, which is really part of the charm. 7:30 p.m.
CIRQUE BERZERK: The calliope-mad antics of this made-for-adults spectacular seem like they were choreographed to be presented solely on a let-loose weekend night, so we're happy to see a Wednesday in the mix. No need to arrive in top hat, monocle, or cut-to-there corset, but be prepared to see performers in such outlandish dress, or undress. 8 p.m.
