DR. JOHN: He'll be talking New Orleans, and supporting the Big Easy's big cultural standing, and he'll be playing music full of bluesy gumption, of course. The Grammy Museum is the place. 8 p.m.
OSCAR NOIR: The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences looks back at great '40s films that had some grit. Tonight is "Mildred Pierce," the location is the Goldwyn at the Academy HQ on Wilshire, and shorts and cartoons roll at 7 p.m.
