Roger Waters -- The Wall Live will be at Staples Center on Monday, Nov. 29 and Tuesday, Nov. 30.
ROGER WATERS -- THE WALL LIVE: There've been several notable titans of expansive proggery and forward-thinking rock-opera-ness over the decades, but all have looked to Mr. Waters and the epic tale he fashioned over 30 years ago. The Pink Floyd visionary has returned with his famous work -- with good reason -- and he'll be at Staples for two nights, starting tonight (there's also a Dec. 5 date, too). You can't have any pudding, perhaps, but you can have a most memorable, musical experience.
SWEATERS TO MICROBREWS: Are you an avid follower of StuffWhitePeopleLike.com? Blogger Christian Lander is talking at Book Soup about a fresh book detailing more items that made that cut. You're still torn up about expensive sandwiches, yes? Time's 7 p.m. (And the book's title is "Whiter Shades of Pale: The Stuff White People Like, Coast to Coast, from Seattle's Sweaters to Maine's Microbrews," fyi.)
ICE SKATING WEATHER: Lacing up and gliding on a Monday? Well. That's when we'd wager most people need it most. Woodland Hills Ice is open every day, and will close at 10 p.m. tonight. If you're a bit squidgy about your skills, and don't feel like venturing out in the Saturday/Sunday bustle, Monday evening at 9:15 p.m. may be your ideal time.
