KOREA: FUTURE/PAST: The Los Angeles County Museum of Art throws its second Late Night Art event of 2009, this one with a focus on the artists of the Your Bright Future exhibit. Happening from 8PM-midnight on Saturday, September 12th, the soiree includes a Korean break-dancing troupe, traditional tunes, DJing, and in-gallery readings. Plus art. All the art. $10

FESTIVAL OF PHILIPPINE ARTS & CULTURE: Comedians, singers, dance troupes, a Martial Arts Village (which the hosts say is a first for the fest), and a Balut eating contest are on the roster for this two-day celebration at Point Fermin in San Pedro. In addition to the ongoing entertainment/dining options, there's a Marketplace by the Sea. September 12th-13th. $7 at gate

LARCHMONT SIDEWALK SALE: You already love getting latte'd up and grabbing a table along that pretty, people-watching thoroughfare. Now the Paramount-close shopping/eating street puts out the tables of goods and the weekend-long deals. We're sweet on Landis Gifts, especially. Nice pens. September 11th-13th

"WIZARD OF OZ" SCREENS IN CULVER CITY: We're all about the Made in Culver City film series. Because that thing could run, well, for decades, without having to repeat a movie. Up on Saturday, September 12th. A biggie. The biggiest? It's the "Wizard of Oz," which is celebrating its 70th. Bonus: Jerry Maren, who played a Munchkin, will attend. He was in the Lollipop Guild. Great flying houses! Culver City Hall, 7:30PM

D23 EXPO: It's the first mega convention devoted to fans of all things Disney. Peeks at upcoming movies, and theme park plans, at costumes and rides and other Disneyiana are on the plate (or perhaps "in the teacup" would be more fitting). We're bummed we couldn't make the pre-expo Haunted Mansion party, but the main affair runs September 10th-13th in Anaheim
