U2 makes for the Rose Bowl on Sunday, October 25th.
U2 360° Tour: Does everyone in the music-listening universe wish that they could have seen the three Dublin concerts over the summer? Well. If you missed those, and you live in LA, and you're all about the Bono, you're going to this Rose Bowl show on Sunday, October 25th. Parking info is linked on the U2 site, because it will be very, very needed.
"THE HAUNTING" SCREENS: Just the poster is neck-prickle-making. It's a '60s scream-maker, it's gorgeous, and it is showing at the equally gorgeous Alex Theatre in Glendale. Atmosphere in your movie, atmosphere in your surroundings. Bonus: a psychic investigator will talk about the theater's haunt-y rep! Wooooo... Saturday, October 24th, 2PM
CICADA CLUB HALLOWEEN PARTY: If you're mad for black & white photos of Halloweens past -- paper-masked revelers sipping bubbly from vintage glasses -- then best walk into one of those photos on Sunday, October 25th. That's when swingin' Dean Mora and His Orchestra and the Satin Dollz Pinup Dancers will be partying, 1938-style, in the opulent Oviatt Building.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL: It's on the Universal backlot, which is cool. Many celebrities traditionally show. There are rides and costumes and other October-y touches. And it is in support of the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times. Don something sparkly and make for Universal City on Sunday, October 25th.
LA BEER WEEK WRAPS: The party's at Descanso Gardens, which is a beautiful setting we've never associated with beer. Yet. That could change. Wait. Buds and buds. Now we're getting it. The Signature Event of the week is at the gardens on Saturday, October 24th. Bet you'll try a brew that's new to you. And you'll be in nature. A satisfying Saturday.
Note: The Ennio Morricone show at the Hollywood Bowl has been cancelled.
