MUSIC AT THE ZOO: Tunes waft through the Los Angeles Zoo every summer for two big band-filled summer nights. The Global Music event happened, oh, about ten days back. Up tonight: Classic Rock. Listen for some Grateful Dead, Beatles, and Doors covers as bands play throughout the zoo. Visit the Mashed Potato and Martini Bar. Oh, and wave hi to all those gorgeous beasties. 6-9PM

JEWEL AND MICHAEL FEINSTEIN: She had that strum-y pop-country thing down; he's a modern master of the American Songbook. The headline: Jewel and Michael Feinstein make an interesting pairing for an evening celebrating "The Art of Song" at the Hollywood Bowl. She's a little bit country, he's a little bit rock and Cole (Porter). 8:30PM

"NEVERMORE": There's just over a week left for this peek-inside-Poe show on at the Steve Allen Theatre. Jeffrey Combs -- from "Re-Animator" and "From Beyond" -- plays the tortured Baltimorean. If you're not strutting about in fine Goth garb down at Comic-Con, make for Hollywood at once. 8PM
