What You're Doing Tonight: May 4th

MARIE'S MOXIE: She's spent most of her life in the spotlight, first proving she's a little bit country on the '70s variety show she helmed with brother Donny, then later as an author, the head of a doll company, a "Dancing with the Stars" performer. Now Marie Osmond is at the Northridge Borders talking about her new book, which details weathering life's trickier times with aplomb. 7PM.

FINAL NIGHT: The South East European Film Festival wraps its movie-packed five-day Los Angeles run. "Megatron," the 2008 Palme D'or winner for best short, screens, as does "Elevator!"; both films hail from Romania. 6:30PM at the James Bridge Theatre at UCLA.

GANGI'S MAY MONDAYS: It's the first of Gangi's Monday nights in May at Spaceland. The show is free, the sounds are folky, a tad fuzzy, and shot through with streams of electronic prettiness. We want to make a macrame owl while listening to the duo. The kind with oversized tortoiseshell beads. 8:30PM
