Your job: Decide to get out of town and fast. Our job: Help you find where you're headed. This week, NBCLA's Worth the Drive takes us to...

Spring Break in Laguna: It's that time. Kids, teens, and college students are unhanding books for a week or two and making for somewhere sunny/sandy.

Jealous? If you are years -- or decades -- past your last spring break, you can get back to that March madness, at the Surf & Sand in Laguna Beach. The resort has a Spring Break special on now.

Beyond the beach ball: Spring Break at a resort isn't about the usual pails and shovels and can't-be-avoided sunburns. Surf & Sand is doing infused vodka sips at its spa, a $45 Flights & Bites menu on Mondays & Wednesdays, and tapas to be eaten tune-side in the lounge. Grown-ups, hello.

For families: If you're arriving as a group, there are kid- and tween-nice activities. We like: in-room s'mores, movies by the pool, cookie decorating. We like all those things for us, in fact, not just for the young'uns.

Spring Break dates: March 15-April 11, 2010

Price: An ocean view double queen has a weeknight tag of $405; view all rooms and rates. Many of the Spring Break activities are included in that, save things like drinks and food. Ask at the front desk.

The ocean: Just over there. Race ya.
