Here's some news that will warm the hearts of New York expats, luxe-loving fashionistas and all women who have decided to shop their way through our current economic woes: Henri Bendel is headed to LA.
Henri Bendel, the century-old go-to store for New York's most fabulous and fashionable, will open a Beverly Center location in November 2009. Joining the Bev Center's increasingly posh ranks of Michael Kors, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, Bendel's "west" promises a veritable candy story of goodies -- bags, scents and actual edibles -- for the young, chic and reasonably well-heeled.
They also promise to send you on your way toting one of their iconic white and brown striped shopping bags. And if it happens to have one of their white and brown striped handbags in it, lucky you.
