The Vintage Fashion Expo is so thoughtful.
Talk about manners and knowing what's what. The sartorial spectacular, which shows up in Santa Monica every few months, just happened to schedule the weekend before Valentine's Day for its winter show.
Coincidence, or politeness? Whatever the case, we're glad. Because if you've felt your out-to-dinner wear was humdrum to the humdrum-iest degree, this is the place to correct all that. Small-waisted skirts and poufy-shouldered evening gowns and eyewear that is all swoops and tiny diamonds.
Just tell your date to pencil in a moment to be slackjawed come February 14th.
The Expo is on February 6-7th at the Santa Monica Civic. Many dealers will be there. Jewelry expert Leigh Leshner is the featured guest. Plus old-school moves will be on display courtesy of a UCLA vintage dance group.
