A Taste of Hawaii is on at Trader Vic's through the end of February.
Maybe it is the big new hotel opening at L.A. Live. Maybe it is the overcast day and the rain to come.
But we're thinking of warmer days, beachy vacations, and the Trader Vic's at L.A. Live. And we're thinking that the restaurant's "A Taste of Hawaii" event, which runs through February, is probably where we should be.
We realize that a taste of Hawaii is available every day at the venerable island-themed chain, but the February to-do is a special partnering with the Hilton Hawaii. The special part: complimentary leis on Saturday nights in February, Polynesian tunes on the stage on Saturdays, and dishes like Macadamia-Crusted Rack of Lamb.
Crust anything with that princely nut and we'll be first in line, but the lamb dish sounds especially delicious.
The Trader Vic's at the Beverly Hilton is also getting into the Hawaiian swing, with a few festive events between February 21st and 24th.
