Blue Cupcake debuts downtown with a free, cupcake-y giveaway on Monday, July 20th
You've been to other big cities around the globe. You've seen the enormous and airy markets selling things like flash-frozen lavender buds, in old wooden barrels, and chocolate-covered kidney beans, and tea picked by monkeys.
And you've thought, I want to wander around an atmospheric building gnawing at gouda while looking at fancy baguettes and salt-covered pepper (or maybe that was pepper-covered salt). And I want to do that here.
Good news, I-want-to-do-that-here people. Those baguettes, or something similar, will be marching into the Douglas Lofts downtown as part of the 3RD + SPRING project. blogdowntown's talking about it, people are anticipating it, we think it is a fine corner for fine purveyors of delicious items.
And while the project is still down the road, there's a herald: Blue Cupcake and Lot 44 Coffee. Blue Cupcake is debuting at Lot 44 -- located at 257 S. Spring -- on Monday, July 20th, and doing it in a nice way: free treats. If you are in that neck of the concrete-and-glass woods, gratis cupcakes are on the giveaway from 11AM-2PM.
Julie Desmeules has a knack for creating filigree-ish pictures out of frosting, and that is nothing to sniff it. It is something to eat, however.
