Drink This: The Pilgrim

The Edison

Cranberry-tasty cocktailing at The Edison, Thanksgiving week and every week.

Your job: get to the bar. Our job: Help you find that perfect drink. This week, NBCLA's "Drink This" journey takes us out for...

The Pilgrim: We've spoken of our affection for that stylish bastion of steampunkery, The Edison. We've also spoken of our affection for the cranberry, and cocktails containing that tart sphere. The Pilgrim combines both of those things we like.

What you're tasting: Oxley Gin just debuted in the states early this year; it is cold-distilled, which sounds right fancy to us, and hails from the UK. The other taste: Leopold Bros. New England cranberry liquor.

The tart: If you like a fine cocktail with premium spirits, but sometimes find them too sweet, the sour bite of cranberry could be that which you seek.

The Pilgrim price: $13

Available just Thanksgiving week? No, thanks be. It's around all year long.

Just ahead at The Edison: Saturday, December 5th is Repeal Day, and The Edison is taking the party on the road to Pershing Square, for some ice skating and toast-the-cockles cocktails.
